Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how KLIKR (“KLIKR”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our thumbnail-creation application and website at klikr.ai (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your email address, and (if you choose to provide it) your name, display name, and profile picture. If you sign in with Google or Microsoft, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from that provider. Your account information is stored using Supabase, our authentication and database provider.
- Content you create — the thumbnails, templates, projects, and images you create, upload, or save in the Service. Uploaded images and generated assets are stored as files in cloud infrastructure (Supabase Storage).
- Usage data — records of your activity, AI actions, credit usage, and timestamps. We use these to operate the Service and enforce usage limits.
- Technical data — your sign-in session and a theme preference stored locally in your browser, and, if you consent, analytics cookies and identifiers from Google Analytics (see “Analytics & cookies” below). We do not use advertising cookies.
2. How we use your information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service and its features.
- To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
- To process the AI image and text features you request.
- To apply usage allowances and limits.
- To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.
- To communicate with you about your account or important changes.
3. AI processing
When you use an AI feature (for example, generating or editing an image, detecting a subject, or getting text suggestions), the relevant images and prompts are sent to our AI providers — the OpenAI API Platform and Google Gemini — to process your request (for example, to generate thumbnail images) and return a result. Please avoid submitting sensitive personal information in AI prompts or uploads.
4. Service providers we share data with
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the providers that power the Service, and only as needed to operate it:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage for your account and content.
- OpenAI (API Platform) — processing of AI image and text requests.
- Google Gemini — processing of AI image and text requests.
- Google — sign-in, if you choose “Continue with Google”.
- Microsoft — sign-in, if you choose “Continue with Microsoft”.
- Resend — sending account emails (sign-in confirmation, password reset, and similar).
- Google Analytics — usage analytics, loaded only if you accept analytics cookies.
- GoDaddy — application hosting.
Each provider processes data under its own privacy terms. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
5. Analytics & cookies
On our website we use Google Analytics to understand how the Service is used (for example, which features are popular) so we can improve it. Analytics runs only after you accept the cookie banner shown on your first visit; if you decline, no analytics cookies are set and Google Analytics is not loaded. You can change your choice anytime from the Cookies toggle on your Account page in the app, or via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of this page and the Terms page. We do not use analytics for advertising.
6. Data retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account from within the Service, or request deletion of your data by contacting us. When you do, we delete your personal content (profile, thumbnails, AI-generated images, templates, projects) and the associated image files, and anonymize your account so it can no longer sign in. We may retain limited, de-identified usage records for security and legal purposes.
Uploaded images and generated assets may be retained while your account remains active and may be deleted upon account deletion or upon request.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data — including requesting deletion of your data and content — and to object to or restrict certain processing (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA). You can exercise many of these directly in the Service, or by contacting us at [email protected].
8. Security
We use reputable infrastructure providers and reasonable technical measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
10. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. We rely on those providers’ safeguards for such transfers.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you of material changes.
